First Significant Deadline of the 88th Legislative Session Approaching

We are less than a week away from the first significant deadline of the 88th legislative session. Monday, May 8 is the last day for the House to file House Bills with the committee coordinator. This means that any House Bills that have not been voted out by the committee or whose paperwork has not been filed will effectively die unless resurrected as an amendment to related legislation. • The amount of coverage available.
  • Financial strength of reputation of the insurance company.
  • Convenience.

Eric Sondergeld, managing director of Greenwald Research, bets that most people in his audience at today’s presentation at the Life Insurance and Annuity Conference will say the answer is “convenience.” But the study that Greenwald did for the Society of Actuaries showed that convenience was dead last. Flood insurance pricing formula to be tweaked further

Insurance Business

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas has revealed during a congressional hearing last week that the federal system for setting flood insurance premiums needs more tweaking than initially expected.
